Build and finish
The FRT-RD3™ starts with 4140 chromoly steel blanks machined to ±0.001″ tolerances. The trigger bow features radiused edges to prevent finger drag, while the proprietary hammer engagement surface reduces lock time by 18% compared to stock HK triggers.
After machining, components undergo salt bath nitride treatment reaching 0.003″ case depth. This creates a 70+ Rockwell C surface hardness at the contact points while maintaining the substrate’s impact resistance.
